Fahr’s World Beer Award total grows to six over the past four years as their Vienna Lager and Bavarian Hefeweizen capture silvers across two categories.
TURNER VALLEY, AB, Aug 15, 2022 – Brewers from around the world compete for the prestigious World Beer Awards. Fahr’s Copper and Hefe have received high rankings and accolades on the International stage since 2019. Hefe earned the coveted title of World’s Best in 2020 along with Country Winner (Canada) in 2019 and 2020. Other award-winning brews by Fahr include Alkoholfrei and Pils.
The judging for the World Beer Awards is rigorous with over 200 International judges, with the final World’s Best tasting round in London, UK. The small-town Alberta brewery that specializes in adhering to the German Purity Laws has greatly impacted the International stage and brought Southern Alberta to the International Beer Stage.
“Winning these awards, over and over, year over year is such a fantastic confirmation of our approach and the quality and the care that goes into making our products,” said Jochen Fahr, Founder of Brauerei Fahr Inc. “The fact that almost every single one of our beers has now medalled in provincial, national and international competitions means that we can confidently say that we are a world-class brewery.”
